A preface. Despite the analytics of the approach, soil testing is an art, not an exact science. A lab can never tell you everything you need to know about soil, and the testing can be conducted in different ways and translated using different soil languages.

The effort here is to shed some light on methods of articulating the mineral balance in soil that have proven valuable in my experience as an agronomist.

I developed a consulting platform called BioEnergetic Agriculture that recognizes and works with the physical, mineral, biological, and energetic capacities of living systems. This article is discussing the mineral component.

The average landscape or chemically treated farm land requires regeneration. Property development and the use of untargeted and artificial fertilizers and biocides works against the living and dynamic nature of soil.

The most important thing to remember when growing a farm or garden is to “grow soil, not just plants”.

If we grow by this principle we can get the soil to work for us in ways that not only generate better results, but that save growers a ton of money.
